At the top
of the custom built spiral staircase, Calamity Jane’s quarters fill
the entire third floor. Travelers can share a spacious bath
or spread out in the sitting
area. This room at $140/night (2 people) has a
queen-size bed, two-person whirlpool tub, separate shower,
cable TV, DVD player, phone, a sitting area with couch, rocking
chair, desk, high speed internet
connection, and electric fireplace. For extra guests the couch folds
down into a
full size bed.
The room is named for Martha Jane Canary (“Calamity Jane”)
born in Princeton Missouri. Calamity Jane is famous for
her role as a Pony Express rider and scout for General George
Custer’s 7th Cavalry.
